Where do you want to wake up?
Throughout the Winter of 2020-21 we’ll renovate Garden House and Guest House. The rooms will be cozy, boasting exciting interiors varying from room to room. Garden House will feature new bathrooms and spacious and gorgeous terraces.
Guest House will remain the house where your dogs are welcome, and the bathrooms will remain original.
Main House
On the first floor of the Main House, seven rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a view over either the Baltic Sea or the Cliff Garden await. Each and every one has been redesigned and no two are alike.
Follow the old, narrow stairs down to the ground floor, where you can explore the Savanna Suite and Darwin’s Nest. It’s also here where you’ll find the dining area – and the perfect place to simply hang out. In the soft chairs and grand halls, we celebrate and socialise, recounting and listening to stories drawn from travel bags. Feel free to open up your own and tell some tales.
Garden House
Sleep peacefully while completely surrounded by cliffs, wild herbs and warped trees in the hotel’s Garden House. All the rooms are untouched and presented as they always have been - full of ‘hygge’ and history. On the first floor you’ll find 10 rooms all boasting a balcony and a view over either the Baltic Sea or the garden. On the ground floor, we have a further 10 rooms, each with their own little breathing space just outside the door, and direct access to the lawn between the trees.
If you dream about relaxing with your back up against the sun-warmed cliffs warmed while sharing the day’s experiences until you’re ready to keel over, it’s from here you’ll find the shortest route back to bed.
As of May 1st, the Garden House is redesigned and renovated with new bathrooms, new terraces in each room, and we now have two suites Blixen and Jones suites as well as two superior double rooms for two adults and two children.
Guest House
Here, you’ll be met with an original Danish holiday atmosphere in the more secluded part of the hotel. Look forward to peace and quiet, and a view over Hammerknuden. The ensuite rooms are simple and presented in their original form. You can drive all the way up to the door and park your car on the same level as the house, which is convenient if your luggage is on the heavier side.
In the Guest House, you’re also allowed to bring along a few special guests - your pets. Just let us know if you’re bringing a prairie dog, a sheep dog, a hunting dog, a tracker dog, a lap-dog or a dachshund, and we’ll provide the appropriately sized bowl!

Main House
A total of seven inviting ensuite double rooms with either a view of the Baltic Sea or cliff garden. No two rooms are alike. Look forward to a unique experience a short distance from all the hotel has to offer.

An abundance of details. The beating heart of the hotel. Even through the noise-reducing carpets on the first floor, one can feel the atmosphere of adventure.
Garden House
All rooms come with either a private balcony which takes the sun for most of the day (when it’s out, that is!), or a private terrace with direct access to the lawn between the trees. The 20 rooms are basically left in their original state - far from your normal five-star luxury - but full of ‘hygge’ and history.
STYLE
Lightly renovated. Shabby-chic style. Nature motifs. Quilts. Thin curtains swaying in the breeze.FEATURES
Direct access to the outdoors. Small private balcony, terrace or landing with room for your bike or ocean kayak. Original bathrooms. Child-friendly.ATMOSPHERE
Full of life. Open doors. Walking distance from the beach. Close to our local ice cream shop ‘Kalas’.
Guest House
All rooms have separate entrances and are located in calm surroundings secluded from the Main House. You can drive almost all the way up to the door and park your car on the same level as the house. Very practical if you’re walking-impaired or carrying heavy suitcases. Furthermore, your four-legged friends are also welcome to stay here.
STYLE
Not renovated. Functional and square. Simple and comfortable.
FEATURES
Separate entrance. Few neighbors. Plenty of closet space. Original bathrooms. Space for beach findings and walking sticks can be found in front of the door. Pets allowed. Suitable for the walking-impaired - although there are a few small steps leading up to rooms from the corridor.ATMOSPHERE
Danish holiday atmosphere. Plenty of quiet and privacy, although wild rabbits and hares run through the garden!
Check-in and check-out
You can access your room from 15.00 on the day of arrival. If your day of departure is Monday-Friday, the room must be vacated by 10.30.
Cleaning of the rooms will take place between 10.00 and 16.00 every day.
